Youth Protection Training Policies Print E-mail

Effective June 1, 2010:

- Youth Protection Training is required for all registered volunteers.

- New leaders are required to take Youth Protection Training before they submit their application for registration. The certificate of completion for this training must be submitted at the time application is made and before volunteer service with youth begins.

- Youth Protection Training must be taken every two years. If a volunteer's Youth Protection Training record is not current at the time of recharter, the volunteer will not be reregistered.

Please see the Youth Protection Training Policies.pdf or go to the Downloads section in the Main Menu to the right, then look in the Training and Information section.

If you have not taken the Youth Protection Training, or it has been two years since you took it, you must take the Youth Protection Training located here.
You do not have to be a registered member or have a member ID to take Youth Protection training.
To take Youth Protection training:
1. From the menu on the left, click E-Learning.
2. From the General tab, scroll down to Youth Protection Training and click Take Course.
3. When you complete the course, print a certificate of completion to submit with a volunteer application, or submit the certificate to the unit leader for processing at the local council.

Family Camp

The weekend of May 7th through the 9th the Pack hosted 2010 Family Camp. The event took place at Camp Butler. Everyone survived a cold, wet and windy weekend. The Scouts and families all had a great time even though we spent most of the weekend indoors. Many of the Scouts advanced ranks, put on skits and songs. We had great fellowship, fun and lots of food!

Thanks to everyone that donated thier time and all the wonderful food. A special thanks goes out to the Boy Scouts of Troop 526. The Boy Scouts cooked some wonderful french toast for Saturday's breakfast. 7 dozen eggs were used and 10 loaves of bread.

Thank you everyone!

Keep checking back for more updates....
